I began college in 2015 at the University of Akron and soon after began my college job, Starbucks’ barista. Well, wouldn’t you guess who else was a Starbucks’ barista at the University of Akron in 2015? Courtney. Did we ever meet or work a shift together in our overlap? No. Here’s where we enter our girl, Em. She’s our web. The connector. Well wouldn’t you know who’s photographs Courtney saw and loved? Em’s. Soon after she reached out and we realized what a dang small world we live in.

Fast forward a bit of time and I got the chance to meet (and photograph) Courtney and her sweet finace, Nate. It was such an easy day. Easy conversation. Quick to laugh. Easy to capture. I am so dang thankful for the webs our world gives us. The little ties that keep us connected. And even better I got to capture them in my favorite park system, CVNP, on one of the most beautiful fall days.
